Simple advice to find romance

If you are looking for romance my simple advice would be to try and make acquaintances while out and about around the city during the day. Kiev is a young university city with numerous campuses around the downtown area, and it is relatively easy to strike up a conversation by asking for directions or making reference to some nearby poster or point of reference. Ukrainian ladies tend to love chivalry and so you might want to try gallantly holding doors open before offering an English language comment to see if you get a response.

If it is raining, take an umbrella out and offer to escort ladies through the rain. If you see a lady weighed down by heavy shopping, offer to help her. Such things might be regarded as beyond the pale in much of the post-modern West, but old school chivalry remains alive in modern Ukraine and it is a great way to break the ice.
